GridWatch is a community-driven platform that allows residents to report and view infrastructure issues including power outages, water disruptions, road problems, and other community concerns. It is developed and operated by Lets Make Progress (Pty) Ltd (Reg. 2020/828797/07).
You must be at least 13 years old to use GridWatch. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
You agree to use GridWatch only for its intended purpose — reporting genuine community infrastructure issues. You must not:
All reports on GridWatch are submitted by community members and are not verified by Lets Make Progress (Pty) Ltd. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any report. GridWatch data should not be relied upon as a substitute for official communications from Eskom, local municipalities, or emergency services.
Reports are automatically removed after 24 hours of inactivity to keep the map current.
When you submit a report, description, or photo, you grant Lets Make Progress (Pty) Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the GridWatch platform for the purposes of operating the service. You retain ownership of any content you upload.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without notice.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms of Service, without prior notice. You may delete your own account at any time by contacting us at lebo@letsmakeprogress.com.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Lets Make Progress (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of GridWatch or reliance on any report submitted through the platform.
GridWatch is provided "as is" without any warranty of availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of GridWatch after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision.
